It's midnight and I hear her whimpering. A stream of questions flood my mind...
Is she okay?
Does she miss her mom?
Does she need to potty or is she hungry?
Do I take her outside now or make her wait?
Am I bad puppy mom because I don't know the answer to any of these questions?
Am I really ready for this?
This little fur ball, came into our lives just over a week ago, and she's taught me some very valuable lessons on motherhood and what I'm going to different this time.
The old patterns of overwhelm, overwork, and over responsibility have been tested this week, and I'm ready to let that go...with the puppy, and with other aspects of my life.
How about you?
Have you been dealing with the rough and tumbling energy of the recent cosmic forces? Are you ready to let go of the old, non-serving ways? Are you ready for something new, a "new direction"?
According to thepowerpath.com:
"This New Moon bookends this rare eclipse trio that has given us such an opportunity for change, growth and maturity despite the discomfort and challenge that we may have also experienced. The theme of this new moon is “new directions”. With new insights, hard lessons and a creative outlook, you can use this New Moon to consider a new direction in some area of life." (Read more about his new moon here. )
I'm ready to drop all the things that are weighing me down, the heaviness of being so serious about everything. This new puppy has cast light on the old habits of over-mothering, and she's also brought "de-light" into our hearts and our home. So much so that she inspired the latest podcast on Mythic Moms...Motherhood And Puppy Love.
For overwhelmed, overworked and stressed moms and women everywhere, in this episode I share 3 things our puppy, Shakti, has inspired me to do differently this time around.
For whatever "new direction" and new beginning is coming your way, I wish you lots of puppy love and lightness!
To your delight,
AuroraOver to you...
