The holidays are here and we've been busy decorating the house for Hanukah and Christmas. We celebrate both holidays, along with Winter Solstice, and have family rituals to help us honor the passing year and welcome in the new light of possibility to come.
Opening up the green and red storage boxes is always a treat. As we gently unwrap the tree decorations, “Oooohhs and ahhhh’s” mingle in with our favorite Christmas music. Each decoration reminds us of special moments, like buying our first home or our first Christmas after marriage in Taiwan.
Tokens of our travels fill our hearts with delight as we unwrap a tiny mask from Bali, a crown from England, a dragon from China, an RV from our travel odyssey to see the western US.
And my favorite of all...the delicate handmade decorations made by our children!
Several years ago, I started the tradition of buying myself an ornament to as a token of transformation and the gifts of the year.
One year, I bought an golden acorn to remind me of the preciousness of my children and my role as their mother. I’ve always said I’m an “Acorn Mamma”…one who looks for the blueprint of genius in our children, and then lovingly tends the seed so they will grown into their innate greatness.
Another year, I bought a cloth image of Mary, Queen of Scots, as a token of coming through depression after being diagnosed with melanoma. When I got my cancer-free results back, I decided to say yes to an adventure in Ireland and Scotland with one of my best girlfriends.
Last year, my ornament, was a singing Moana, to remind me of the great journey I took in reclaiming my essence which culminated in a divine feminine retreat on The Big Island of Hawaii.
This year, I’m wanting a ornament to celebrate my deep dive into trust, intuition and following moon wisdom...I'll have ask Santa for a special moon ornament I guess!
If you were to choose an ornament, or symbol that represented this year for you…
What would it be?
How have you grown?
How are you different from the person you were at the beginning of the year?
As we come to the end of the year, it’s time to sit in reflection…what surprises, challenges and wisdom have you’ve received?
This is such a busy time of year for most of us. There’s lots to celebrate, many parties to attend, activities that tempt you and your family.
But in the wheel of the year and the energies of the season, we are meant to slow down as winter approaches... instead of speeding up and trying to get it all in parties, presents, cooking, baking and family time. With so much busy-ness we often lose the magic of the holidays.
So what if you could navigate the holiday season differently this year?
What if during the holidays you...
...had time for self-care and nourishment,
...made plans according to what you value,
...connected deeply with your loved ones,
...and had time for self-reflection?
A holiday season that made you feel nurtured, liberated, radiant and peaceful?
Sound yummy? :)
Starting today I’m sharing a moon-long invitation to create this kind of holiday experience with the support of the moon….and sisterhood!
It’s called “Less Stress, More Magic: A Holiday Moon Cycle Adventure” and I’m offering it as a gift to my community to celebrate the magic that the moon and intuition have brought me this year.
During the next 4 weeks you’ll be introduce to 4 archetypal phases of the moon to guide and support you....
Mother, Queen, Goddess and Sage.
On Mondays in December, I’ll introduce one of the archetypes and how she relates to the moon phase in our FB Group, The Feminine Fire Sisterhood. There will be an archetypal activation and weekly invitation to actively embody the archetype throughout the week.
On Wednesdays, I’ll dive more deeply into the gifts and shadows of the weekly archetype and on Fridays, we will have time to connect with any questions or insights you’ve received.
To register, sign up here and receive your "Less Stress, More Magic" Moon Map. We'll be using that to cycle through the phases with the archetypes.
Our last new moon of the year was in Sagittarius, the archer who takes aim at unlimited possibilities, inviting us to consider "What do you want to create this season?"
As you pull back the bow, may you listen deeply to your own inner voice to create a holiday experienced aligned with your heart and your values.
For cosmic and sisterhood support, I’d love to have you join us as we journey together to "Less Stress, More Magic" by the light of the moon!
To your magic reflected in the moonlight!
Aurora
P.S. The first video on the new moon archetype of the Mother is already up in our FB group. Join us here in the group and be sure to click the button below to register and get your free Moon Map!
